Boom Town Creamery is what happens when a scoop shop decides to do everything right. They make every flavor in small batches from scratch, from the base to the mix-ins, and they’re not kidding when they say everything. That brownie in your cone? Made in-house. That hot fudge? Same. You’ll taste it in flavors like Espresso Crunch featuring Elemental Coffee beans (OKC) or Carmelita Cookie Crumble with a bourbon caramel ribbon made with Same Old Moses Bourbon (Guthrie). They keep the case stocked with 24 flavors (at least four of them are dairy-free, all of them excellent). What started as a single shop in OKC’s Uptown 23rd District now has four locations and counting because this is the kind of ice cream that inspires loyalty. And maybe a little bit of an obsession.

Good to Know:
• Seating’s limited at this location with just a few stools along the window, but if you’re here for a quick treat or headed to nearby Stephenson Park, it works perfectly. There are also a couple of sidewalk tables right outside the door if the weather’s good.
• Every Boom Town location has a small freezer stocked with grab-and-go pints of best-sellers and the occasional seasonal or limited-release flavor - ideal for late-night cravings or emergency dessert runs.
