Oklahoma City, OK 73118
Set along Historic Western Avenue, Sushi Neko has been a staple in OKC since 1997 - and for a lot of locals, it’s still considered one of the best sushi spots in town.
You’ll find all the classics on their menu - California rolls, spicy tuna, nigiri & sashimi - alongside a long list of house creations that keep things interesting. Rolls like the Red Canyon with fried calamari, avocado and spicy sauce or the Tuna Tower stacked with layers of sushi rice, crab salad, avocado, and fresh tuna are popular choices. And if you’re with a group, ordering a sushi boat is a fun shared experience. Then there’s the curveball you didn’t see coming: Neko Fries. Crispy fries tossed in a sweet caramelized soy sauce with togarashi and jalapeños, served with wasabi aioli. It sounds unexpected for a sushi spot, but it’s one of their most talked-about appetizers for a reason.
The space matches the menu - energetic and always buzzing. You’re greeted with a warm hand towel when you sit down, and from there it’s easy to settle in and take your time working through the menu. If you want a different kind of experience, you can opt for traditional tatami seating for a more authentic, sit-down Japanese-style meal or request a seat at the sushi bar to watch the chefs work.
