The Pump Bar in Tulsa transformed a restored 1960s gas station into a neighborhood hangout that doesn’t even try to be subtle about having a good time. Located less than a mile from the University of Tulsa campus, the space still nods to its past with the vintage decor, but now it’s filled with a mix of indoor seating, TVs, and a busy, dog-friendly patio that draws a crowd, especially on weekends.
Depending on when you stop by, the vibe can shift quite a bit. Earlier in the day, it works for a casual drink or to grab a bite to eat in a family-friendly, all-ages setting until 9pm. As the night picks up - especially during themed events, trivia, or big games - it gets louder, more social, and packed with energy.
The menu leans into solid bar food with a few standout options. The ¼ lb smashburger (hand-smashed to order, dripping with house-made burger sauce and served with fries or tots) is a go-to, and the “LaSalle’s at The Pump” section of the menu brings in New Orleans-inspired dishes like chicken & sausage gumbo or po’boys piled with shaved roast beef, fried shrimp, or fried catfish on classic New Orleans French bread. Behind the bar, you’ll find signature cocktails, beer, and a handful of non-alcoholic drinks.
