What is Keep It Local OK?
Our mission is pretty simple: To give people the tools and incentives they need to find and support independent, locally-owned businesses. With a Keep It Local OK Card, cardholders enjoy incentives for keepin' it local and get the satisfaction of supporting a favorite business or discovering a new favorite. And business owners get what they want most - happy, loyal customers who are likely to spread the word about their experiences. That's what we like to call a WIN-WIN!

I've never heard of Keep It Local OK before. How long have you been doing this?
We launched Keep It Local OK in Oklahoma City in 2010 with nothing more than a love for the great state of Oklahoma and it's unique local businesses and the belief that together, with other like-minded people, we could help build a better local community.
Are you a non-profit organization?
Well...not exactly. We prefer the term, "not-only-for-profit." Legally, we are not a tax-exempt 501(c) non-profit organization but we do filter the majority of our resources back into the Keep It Local OK brand in order to promote local businesses and accomplish our mission. We are a grass-roots, two-person operation with no affilliation to any outside investors.
What should I do if I get sprayed by a skunk?
Ahhh...good question. If you are unlucky enough to have been sprayed by a skunk, follow the below recipe developed by chemists to neutralize the animal's putrid odor: Mix one quart of fresh hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda and one teaspoon of liquid soap and wash with the mixture while it's still bubbling. Hopefully this works...and next time GET AWAY from the skunk before it has the chance to spray you.
I tried to use my Keep It Local OK Card but the employee wouldn't accept it. What should I do?
This doesn't happen very often but occasionally you might run across a new employee who has not yet learned the ways of the Keep It Local OK Card. If that's the case, simply ask to speak with a manager who is familiar with Keep It Local OK and they should be able straighten things out. If that doesn't work, contact us directly and we'll get to the bottom of it.
This page was a complete waste of time. Can I please ask the question that I really want to ask now?!?
Geez. Why didn't you just say so? Email us and we'll respond promptly or, worst-case-scenario, our response will be fashionably late.
